What we collect, and what we don't.
This is a pre-launch site whose job is to learn what people need. That is a poor excuse for collecting more than we have to, so we collect very little.
Attention measurement, always on, anonymous
We record where people click, how far down a page they scroll, and how long each section stays on screen. This is first-party: it goes to our own server and nowhere else.
- No cookie. No localStorage. Nothing is stored on your device.
- No account, session, or device identifier. Two visits cannot be linked together.
- No IP address is stored. Your IP is used only to rate-limit abuse, then discarded.
- Never the contents of any field you type into. A form field is recorded by its name.
Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you, this does not require
consent. If you would rather not be counted at all, add ?pb-notrack=1 to any page URL.
When you contact us or reserve
Then we do hold personal data: your email address, and optionally your company, your message and the system configuration you built. We use it to reply to you and to understand what people are trying to power. It goes to our internal team channel, no CRM, no advertising platform, no list broker.
We do not connect your email address to the anonymous attention data above, and the data model is built so that we could not do so even if we wanted to.
The "what stopped you?" prompt is deliberately anonymous, it never asks for an email.
Google Analytics and Google Ads, only with your agreement
If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics and the Google Ads conversion tag. These set cookies and share data with Google, so they stay switched off until you say yes, and they switch back off the moment you decline.
We use them to see which campaigns bring people here and which pages lead to an enquiry. We do not send Google your email address or your message.
Your current choice: not chosen yet
Datadog, performance monitoring, also only with your agreement
On the live site we use Datadog to see whether pages load properly and to catch errors. It records page views, timings, browser and device type, clicks, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. It is governed by the same choice as above: decline and the software is never downloaded at all.
Three things we deliberately switched off. There is no session recording, so no replay of your screen exists. Anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser, which matters because this site has a contact form. And we never attach your identity to it, no email address, no account, no user id, so what we see is an anonymous visit, not you.
The data is held in Datadog's European data centre.
Fonts
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We are moving these to our own server to remove that.
Your rights
Where we hold personal data about you, realistically, an email you sent us, you can ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@terraspark.energy and we will action it.
This notice describes the site as built. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by someone qualified before launch.
